Our team includes experienced addiction doctor and specialist independent nurse prescribers in drugs and alcohol treatment, and substance misuse therapists, who work collaboratively to deliver safe and compassionate care.
Clinical Director: Dorris Egbule – RMN, NMP, MScPH
Dorris is an Independent Nurse prescriber (NMP) and a mental health nurse. She has specialist experience in the assessment and management of drugs and alcohol dependence. She has over 20 years’ experience of working with people who have challenges in their mental health as well as drug and alcohol difficulties she has worked in various settings such as Acute hospitals, residential detox units, mental health crisis services and the community drug and alcohol services.
Dr. Edwin Ugoh, FRCPsych, (provides consultant support to the team).
Dr Ugoh is a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr Ugoh has specialist experience in the assessment and management of a variety of mental health disorders as well as alcohol, substance and behavioural addiction. He is an expert also in managing people with mental health conditions and co-existing alcohol/ substance misuse presentations. He has a passion for quality improvement in care and practice
Aisha Adeyeye- RMN, NMP (Alcohol specialist nurse)
Aisha is a registered Mental Health Nurse with over 15 years of experience working across inpatient, community, forensic, crisis, and substance misuse settings. She is also an Independent Non-Medical Prescribing specialised in alcohol detox and management.
Lorraine Gray (Therapist)
Lorraine Gray is a qualified counsellor specialising in substance misuse, with over 6-years’ experience in the field. She has a Level 4 integrated counselling therapy qualification. Her work has involved supporting clients through recovery, relapse prevention, and lifestyle change, using an integrative approach that adapts to each person’s needs, including motivational interviewing, person-centred therapy, harm-reduction strategies, and practical coping tools to help clients regain control and build a healthier, more stable future.
We also work in partnership with Progressive Steps Counselling; certified counsellors, and members of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).They have extensive experience working within the NHS, Mental Health Sectors, Community Mental Health Sectors, Drug and Alcohol Services and Addiction Rehabilitation Centres.
